Band Camp Week 1

Band Camp starts Monday, July 29th at 7 am. 

 

WEEK 1

July 29-Aug. 2 - You’ll need only your marching instruments this week.

 

7:00 to 10:45 am -- Everyone outside for marching rehearsals. Students should be dropped off at the Marching Band practice lot which is located in the south parking lot at the tower. 

 

Required Attire for All Outside Rehearsals: Closed-toed athletic shoes, shorts, t-shirt, long hair pulled back; Dress to stay cool! No jeans, converse, or crocs.

 

Required Materials for All Outside Rehearsals: Instrument, flip folder, lyre, water (water jug after they have been distributed); hats, sunglasses, and a snack are recommended

 

10:45-11:15 am- During the 30-minute break… Please come prepared with as much food as you need to get you through the long morning! The Band Boosters will provide popsicles, but you are responsible for bringing adequate snacks.

 

11:15 am to 1:00 pm -- Everyone inside for section rehearsals. The section rehearsals during this time will cover marching music, including music that you will be tested on during the school year. You will be coached by an instrument-specific instructor. Everyone should bring a pencil and the music you received in May.

 

1:15 am to 2:00 pm -- Everyone inside for playing rehearsal or movement rehearsal. The playing rehearsals during this time will cover marching music, including music that you will be tested on during the school year. The movement rehearsal will be in our gym.

 

2:00 pm -- Dismissed
